Getting to Work
Advanced Screen Acting (adults) Level 3
Working actors or a continuation of Level 1 & 2
Seven-week course
This seven-week course will combine all the techniques you have learned. During the course, we will develop and write a short film script based on content derived from improvisation. A writer and director will be on hand to assist you in the development of a fully realised short film script, through your improvisations.
The final script will be written for the class, connecting all the characters in our story.
Examples of the style of films: Crash, Magnolia, and Short Cuts) A small professional crew (director of photography, sound man, & editor) will then assist you to shoot the film (over the course of a weekend) in order to create a film produced to the highest possible standard. This will make a great addition to your show-reel and give each student the experience of working as an actor on a film set.
After the film is edited, students will be given a professional copy of the 10 to 15-minute short film. (One USB Memory stick will be given with the film per student).
The Film will be shot over one weekend at the end of the 7-week course
In this seven-week course, you will put all of the work you learned from courses Level -1 & Level 2 to use, in the development of your character. We will focus on:
