Note: This is a 2 part course
This six-week intensive acting course will provide you with the basic techniques for screen acting. We will create a comfortable environment for you to develop and hone your craft. Our goal is to provide you with the skills necessary to perform a scene in front of the camera with confidence. A guest professional actor or director will also come in and work with you (tbc.) This will provide you with a well-rounded and dynamic introduction to screen acting. This course will include an introduction to:
- Basic to advanced acting techniques
- Improvisation
- Script analysis
- Character and relationship development
- Camera technique
- Stanislavski “The Method”
- The Meisner Technique
- Acting for camera
- Scene study
